NoVox is a network of grassroots social movements and organizations of "deprived peoples" (from work, from housing, from legal residence, from earnings etc.) No-Vox was founded in Florence during the first European social forum (2002) in order to ask the organizing comittee to take into account analysis and participation of the movements representing the most segregated. It became worldwilde in january 2003, during the third World Social Forum in Porto Alegre, when No-Vox supported the occupation of a building downtown by MNLM.
Nene Assetou Doumbia, a great lady, a great activist, founder of No Vox network in Mali and APELD (Association for spaces of freedoms and rights) has died suddenly.
We would like to salute a great campaigner for human rights, women’s causes and for whom we had as everyone a deep respect and great friendship. Being very affected by such a terrible news, No Vox Network offers its condolences to her family and will make a tribute to her in the coming days.
